Near São Bento Station now stands the recently opened Ferro Bar: a new space for those who like to listen to live music, drink signature cocktails and relax on a terrace with a beautiful view of the city. To live up to his name, owner Sérgio Ribeiro (who used to run the now-defunct Armazém do Chá) decorated the bar with iron antiques and stipulated that the food and cocktail menus had to be rich in iron. At Ferro Bar there are around 200 square metres of decoration that evoke the times of the Industrial Revolution. It’s a raw space that brings together pieces that the owner collected during the adaptation work needed to open the doors. Ferro Bar has a small concert hall that organises comedy nights every Thursday and jazz and rock concerts at the weekends. But the music doesn’t stop there. In the afternoons, there are also DJ sets on the terrace.
