Giovana Mandulão

 

Indigenous activist and nutritionist, specialising in family health with an emphasis on the health of the rural population at the FIOCRUZ School of Government – Brasília, Brazil. She is a Master’s student on the Professional Master’s programme in Sustainability with Traditional Peoples and Territories at the University of Brasilia. She is currently General Coordinator of Knowledge Management, Information, Evaluation and Monitoring of Indigenous Health / Secretariat of Indigenous Health of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. Militant/coordinator of the Health Tent at indigenous mobilisations in Brasilia. She worked in the East Indigenous Special Health District – DSEI Leste Roraima at SASI/SUS with the Macuxi, Wapichana, Ingarico, Patamona, Sapara, Taurepang and Waiwai ethnic groups. She has experience as Coordinator of Extension Projects – Vidas Paralelas Indígena Project at the University of Brasilia, Volunteer Preceptor at PET-Indigenous Health – Indigenous Health Outpatient Clinic / University Hospital of Brasilia/HUB.
